Empire and Northwestern Series     2008

So, we are half way through our summer series of horse shows.  All I have to say is WOW!! Everyone has been riding fantastically.  We have all taken so very nice ribbons home with us too.

This is our first year doing the Empire series in more than five years. It was great to go to Lehman Farms and have our kids come in first and second the first class of the day! Things just got better and better from there. Everyone rode great and all the help was greatly appreciated. Our MVP for the Lehman Empire show goes to Frankie! Melis Schildkraut was Champion in the cross rails out of 40 riders with Frankie. Grant Turner rode great through all of Jaspers spooks and better when he rode Frankie for the first time ever in the show ring.  Frankie was great with his usual riders and even better for Jaspers riders! Thank you to everyone who helped.

The Northwestern on Sunday was great as well. Bella and Lauren McGuire won a class over fences against some really hard competition. Destiny went with Tori and was amazing. Hughie showed with Maggie and got great ribbons. Nora brought Leo and had a great show!! Leo proved that he is an up and coming star… as well as Nora!

The Empire at Huntington was great. We had an amazing turn out. All together 26 riders from Heberle Stables came. Thanks to everyone for chasing after the numbers when they blew away!! It was a great show and everyone got great ribbons! Rocky got to go to the show and was the MVP. Emma Dean had some great courses on him as well as Alexa Friskey. It was also a first horse show for both of them. Erin Dobbertin from Blue Fox also came and joined us. Rhythm and her really clicked and had great courses and even better ribbons!!  The medal course was really tricky for the riders outside, all did great and Aviva got a second in it!

The Northwestern at Huntington went well. Lauren and Bella came home with a reserve champion in the Novice Children’s older division. Destiny and Tori got a seventh place out of 15 riders!! Tori rode great, Destiny was awesome! Hughie was very consistent with Maggie; they received some very nice ribbons. Will Heberle brought Izzy to the show and he was Champion in the walk trot. This was Wills first horse show English. He is following in his sisters footsteps and is becoming a great rider. Elliott went to the show to hang out and learn what horse show life is all about. He was great and is ready for a new owner.

Thanks to all who have participated…. Great job everyone! Two more shows to go before the banquet!! Lets keep up the good work! – Heather and Rachel
